Oral history interview with Al Bridwell, 1964 Aug. 27.

Interview conducted by Larry Ritter for use in his book "The Glory of their times : the story of the early days of baseball told by the men who played it". Al Bridwell discusses his opinion as Branch Rickey as the greatest man in baseball, as well as contract prices of 1907. Bridwell also comments on why John J. McGraw was a great manager, followed by the 1908 penant race between the Giants and Cubs (including Fred Merkle forgetting to touch second base, causing a tie game, 9-23-8).
